Gokhale Method 101 Refresher Class

Even if you left the Gokhale Method 101 class with very good posture, it can be easy to slip back into old habits and ways of moving. You may notice that you begin to slouch, or you don't pay as much attention to the correct shape of your feet. Part of this is due to natural mimicry. We don't see a lot of good posture displayed in our world, so it can be difficult to reinforce healthy movement. To help counter this slippage, we are pleased to announce the start of refresher workshops for those who have completed Gokhale Method 101. This one hour workshop will focus on reviewing the basics of the technique, reengaging your muscle memory, and addressing any new issues or questions you may have encountered.

Many health conditions, both mental and physical, are caused or worsened by muscular tension and postural distortion.  Students receiving specialized care have reported improvements in musculoskeletal health, energy level, depression, respiratory function, urinary incontinence, chronic constipation, and menstrual cramping and irregularity.

Sharing Posture Fundamentals

The course will teach you how to use your voice, hands, posture and our book 8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back to help a family member improve his or her posture. In doing so, you'll reinforce healthy posture for yourself and deepen your intellectual, visual and kinesthetic understanding of the ways the body moves.

Cost

The course consists of six sessions presented as two classes per week for three weeks. The cost of the course is $450
