We've combined our dance, yoga and fitness classes into a membership program, with a monthly fee ($140) for unlimited attendance. Drop-ins are $35/class, and we welcome anyone to try a class for $10. All classes are taught by Gokhale Method instructors, and the principles of the Method are applied in the classes, but you don't need to have taken the GM101 course to attend, benefit from-and enjoy!-our Live It Up! classes.

Discover the dancer within! Apply the Gokhale Method principles in moving naturally and spontaneously to the rhythms of African, Caribbean, Indian, and especially Brazilian, music. The dance forms taught in this class naturally support good posture as they stretch, strengthen and exercise the body, with emphasis on shoulders and hips, where many of us store tension. The course provides fun, exercise, good movement habits andan opportunity for self expression all at once.
Ongoing schedule each week:
Mondays: 10:45am to 11:45am
Wednesdays: 10:45am to 11:45am and 5:15pm to 6:15pm

Intermediate classes are intended for experienced dancers who want a good workout. The routines chosen promote mobility, especially around the hips and shoulders, and provide an excellent complement to other physical activity. Students learn samba, samba-reggae, Afro-Brazilian, Indian, Congolese, Caribbean and other movements to the driving rhythms of Brazilian music.

Our yoga classes integrate traditional yoga with the Gokhale Method principles. Poses are chosen and modified for people born and raised in a modern culture. Like traditional yoga, it disciplines body and mind, stretching and strengthening muscles, regulating organs and glands, and providing a calm and centering respite from everyday life.

In Stretch and Strengthen classes, we teach simple exercises that will give your muscles greater length and power, and give you greater ease and freedom of movement. Graduates of GM101 will appreciate the review of basic Gokhale Method principles, while students new to the Method will get a good introduction. Students usually leave the class feeling taller, stronger and more relaxed. Classes are open to families and people of all fitness levels.
